Hilltop Radio No.44

Forecast: The retro tip

A few weeks back, I took a road trip with a few longtime pals to visit another long time friend. One of them had just subscribed to MQA a high bit rate streaming service. We were teesting the library of the service trying to ask for old, obscure (at least didgitally) songs. We were all surprised at the success rate. This song list is based on those experiments, although many certainly are not obscure.

Bram Tchaikovsky – Girl Of My Dreams
The Yachts – Semaphore Love
Phil Seymour – Baby It’s You
Nick Lowe – Marie Provost
Friends Again – Honey At The Core
Dwight Twilley – 10,000 American Scuba Divers Dancin’
The Go-Gos – Our Lips Are Sealed
Squeeze – Another Nail In My Heart
The A’s – Women’s Got The Power
ABC – That Was Then, This Is Now
The dBs – Happenstance
Hunters & Collectors – Throw Your Arms Around Me
Split Enz – I Got You
The Members – Working Girl
The Chameleons – Up The Down Escalator
Chris Spedding – Wild In The Streets

Rainmakers – Other Side Of The World
Dave Edmunds – Girls Talk
The Del-Lords – Judas Kiss
The Unforgiven – Hang ‘Em High

You must know by now that you should always be buying music!
